What other dog breeds can you call you pit bull so u can keep it at an apartment?

I have what i think is a dalmation pit bull mix we found her a year ago and just moved into an apartment. Unfortnally people have nothening better to do but rat other people out and said that we had a pit bull. When she has never done anything to anyone or thing. The problem is i don’t know any other breeds that have a box head, that doesnt have the word bull attached with it cause were not allowed anything with the word bull in it.

If your lease specifically states no Pit Bulls, large dogs, etc, YOU are in the wrong, not the ones telling on you. Get a dog that’s allowed in your lease. Problem solved.

Large dogs really shouldn’t be living in an apartment. They should have a yard to run in, or be taken to a dog park daily for a couple hours.

    Short haired Daschaund.

I think the dog is called an AmStaff (sp?) or a Boxer mix might work also.

What does the lease say? Does it say no pit bulls or pit bull mixes, or just no pit bulls? You probably should have checked out the lease before moving in, but since you have had the dog for a while now… you can just say it is a dalmatian-boxer mix. Boxers have a square head. (They are in the official “pit bull” category, but most people think of American Pit Bull Terriers when they think of pit bulls.)

boxers kind of look like a pit bull… also look at a staffature terrier… no on=e really has those but there actual name is staffature bull terrier and no one call them that eaither so just say its a staffature terrier/dalmation =) good luck!

Nothing with the word “bull” in it? Tell your landlord the pit’s bad rep. is “bull” too! It’s poor breeding and how they are raised and trained that lead to this breeds demise. The boxer is a bit square headed. Since she is a mixed dog, call her a dalmation mix.

You can try an American Staffordshire Terrier (amstaff) or an American Bulldog Good Luck

Boxer, they have somewhat of the same body type. Most people are terrified of any dog that has pit bull in it. It’s because of the pet owners who make them mean. It’s a shame to lie, but in order to keep your dog, who is a part of your family, that’s what I’d tell them. Thankfully my dog, is a catahoula mixed with border collie. So I never had to say any different. Good luck.

    Boxer – boxer mix
    lab boxer mix

I had the same problem, I told everyone he was a boxer and lab mix.
Do some research and look at some dog pictures and see what he could possibly kind of look like!! haha
    Good luck!!
    yay for pit bulls!!

That is so wonderful you want to keep your dog!! No matter what anyone says!!
    I hate neighbors !!

    GOD BLESS YOU!!!
