so cute your bird. also female parakeets do talk my green female won’t shut up at all, she out talks the male I have 10 parakeets 5 female,5 male and 7 of them so far talks good. You have to be dedicated talking to your birds in talking and believe me they will talk also keep the T.V. on for them so they continues to hear sound.

bonzais vocabulary has increased he will say just about anything i teach him and some things i don’t
male budgie are more likely to talk and if kept with female in same cage probably wont bother to talk because they have each other mirrors seem to deter them from talking also
