@superrad1337 I don’t care about what people say about me, all I want, is that people stop watching this kind of videos on youtube, when they want to ”tame” their birds. They should ask the professionals. You’re now just defensing yourself, think about your birds, do THEY want this?
Or maybe, they’re young birds who I purchased with clipped wings whose wings had been clipped for most of their lives. Perhaps I train them and they bond and when they fly, they fly to me. Stop being so superciliousness. You know what they say about people who assume, don’t you?
When I said I clipped the wings of mine, it was just to prove that no, you do not need to go to a pet store to get it done. It isn’t difficult to do.
how long does it take for the wings to grow back??
@superrad1337 If you have to get your parrot’s ”trust” by first clipping their wings, it’s not real. Read my other messages and maybe you understand then.
Is the bird still tame when its wings grow back or will it just fly away from u? Great vid btw.
I got my parakeets from petland too! You are pretty good at taming parakeets. That parakeet is huge, or is it just me?
Birds can still walk, you’re not crippling them. Birds can be happy without flying. You’re confusing them with yourself, budgies are great, but they’re not humans. They don’t have an innate knowledge of how they should be. Instinct is not the same thing as cognitive thought. It’s decent enough tool to aid in training. My birds all trust me, don’t try to villainize a painless procedure. They learn to rely on you, to trust that you can take them places and help them. >>
you introduce your self as tadees so, what do you expect people to call you? clipping wings is a personal choice wether its cruel or dangerouse its considered safe & acceptable by the vets but its not natural thats when you make your mind up or see if they even need that kind of restraint at all i can tell you, my budgie never had her wings clipped & yes she got away from some place & she was found out doors & starving. she seems impossible to tame ever & now eats too much spinach & carrots:p
@superrad1337 That’s because you haven’t tought them to avoid the windows. Non of my birds doesn’t fly to the windows, because THEY KNOW how to avoid it. Clipping birds wings for ”keeping them safe” would be same as cutting your legs as thinking ”your safe now cause you can’t walk”.
Seriously people, go to forums and get some knowledge before going to youtube watching some video, where is a kid teaching you to clip your birds wings. Taming your bird is teaching it to TRUST YOU.
Gretarina, my birds still fly into windows when they’re freaked out or if they’re not paying attention. So did my previous six.
And I buy birds with clipped wings who don’t know they can fly. It’s actually pretty funny when they realize they can.
I clip my bird’s wings all the time at hime, but then again I used to work at Petland and was the one who’d clip the bird’s wings. xD
thats just showing the bird that it’s OK to be on the hands and btw the wings grow back and why you watching this video if you such an expert and yes i’m tedees on my other acc
