Go to your pet shop and buy some instant ocean

You need specifically marine aquarium salt meant for a salt water aquarium. Make sure you are using the right kind of salt. The “freshwater” aquarium salt tends to lack important minerals that your hermit crabs need.
Some common brands of marine salt include Oceanic, Instant Ocean, Red Sea and Tropic Marin. The smallest amount of marine salt that’s usually sold, as far as I know, is the five gallon size (meaning, it has enough salt to mix five gallons of salt water, not actually five gallons of pure salt). The salt won’t go bad or anything, so you don’t need to use the entire package at once.
Mix the saltwater by adding one-half cup of salt to one gallon of warm de-chlorinated water and mixing well until the salt has dissolved. (Sorry I can’t give metric measurements as well– I don’t know the conversion offhand.) It’s fine if your salt water is a little strong, so always err on the side of adding more salt rather than less. Your hermit crabs can always balance out strong salt water by drinking more fresh water.. but if the salt water is too weak, there’s nothing they can do.

Aquarium Salt is for fresh water tanks actually. Its main purpose is to give those fish some electrolytes. Its not really for making salt water. They have special solutions for hermit crab or u can get ocean salt. I would suggest buying some at a pet store, then you will know exactly how much to use of that kind (it can vary by brand). Also don’t forget that if using tap water be sure to dechlorinate it. Chlorine found in tap water can be harmful to hermit crabs.

    none
saltwater is with marine salt (potassium chloride, calcium chloride, sodium permanganate, sodium chloride, etc etc)
all aquarium salt is is sodium chloride
screw instant ocean the smallest i’ve seen them come in was 15 pound bags
red sea makes a pouch for 5 gallons (for emergency water changes and such) just go buy one of them, it’s like $5 at petsmart
