Getting my parakeet to get on my finger. How do I do it? Is it easy or hard?

It depends how tame the bird is. If he is tame then keep your hand in his cage until he jumps on it. Then try to get him out of the cage. Don’t make sudden moves. He might fly away straight away but he will go back to the cage once he is hungry. Just keep trying but don’t be aggressive to him. With parakeets it is all about being patient.
If he is not tame you will have to get him used to your hand in the cage. You can do this by putting your hand in the cage every day for about 10 minutes. When the bird stops reacting to you, it will mean he is ready to be trained to jump on your hand.
