Hilarious jockey ride-horse racing
By crittercare in Horses on November 27th, 2009
This one of the most bizarre moments in horse racing history. Nate Hubbard was still a rookie February 3, 1989 and got too close to my dads horse which caused him to stumble. After that it is pretty self-explandatory. Enjoy and please check out my film on the same subject. Here is the link to: HORSE RACING ACCIDENT FILM: www.youtube.com

Nah, there was plenty of space between his horse and the followers. But each with it’s own oppinion, that’s normal. I guess your instinctive reaction would be different than mine. Anyway horses are used to avoid obstacles. They’re not by any means used to have jockeys riding them backwards between their legs. It’s the complete denyal of his training. And a messed up horse running loose is a harsh thing to watch. It stands and kicks like a bloody mule. Step off, little guys with the funny hats.

‘Cause falling off and getting trampled, possibly causing other horses to fall like what usually happens in races is better.
Normally, I’d agree and say if you’re that far gone, drop off- but if he had done that, he very well might have died.

are you tango man?

I’ve seen horses reacting really bad to people hanging on their necks. Damn, if you fall don’t try to pretend you didn’t, just let yourself kiss the ground. Better than having a scared horse with someone on it.

One of the “good” accidents. Hubbard had good reflexes, and his horse showed surprising good sense for a youngster (racehorses are almost all under 5 years old).
Nice upload. 5*s
