Adopt A Ferret From An Animal Shelter

If you are looking to adopt a ferret, there are several ways that you can go about it. You just have to decide on what you consider to be the best option.

You could try adopting from an animal shelter, but you will have to very cautious when doing it this way. Some of these animals will have been mistreated, so you will have to work doubly hard to try to integrate the newcomer into your family. Of course not all of these ferrets will have been mistreated, so you could choose just a regular guy.

Most of these shelters have so many ferrets, that you can even choose your own color. When you apply to adopt from one of these shelters, you will normally be interviewed by the staff. You should not take it personally though, as the staff are only carrying out part of the adoption routine. After all, they need to be sure that you will be a suitable owner for one of their ferrets, and that you will be able to care for it properly.

Some shelters will require proof of residence, and may also insist that all family members are present during the adoption process.

The staff at the shelters are there because they really care about the welfare and happiness of the animals. They will also be totally honest with you, regarding any underlying problems with a particular ferret that might have caught your eye.

So all in all, these shelters are great places to get young ferrets (kits), or even if you prefer the more mature ones. They can have about fifty or sixty of these animals at one time, so there will be a wide choice of age and color for you to choose from.

I think the cat might have been sick or something because it lost patches of fur. I forgot to wash my hands after and then i pet my cat. I didnt touch either my house cat or the stray cat’s saliva, so i don’t think i can give my cat rabies. But can other diseases be transfered by touch?
this was only a few days ago, and my cat isn’t showing symptoms. if i take him to the vet then what can he do?

First of all dont give me any crap about how pit bulls are dangerous because I know all about thier behavior. My Pit Bull was at a kennel and dug a hole underneath the fence and killed another dog. What are the laws for a situation like this?
She has shown some aggresion towards dogs so she was put in a pin only with our other dog so is the kennel responsible?

All bulldog puppies have to deal with this problem, they have to learn to get up on there own. If the owner helps them, they won’t learn and the owner can’t be there to help flip them over 24/7.
